Lamborghini Carbon Repairs

Our 5-Step Repair Process:

No matter what the part is, our Carbon repair service follows a simple 5-step process detailed in the drop-down boxes below. In order for us to provide you with a repair quote please read carefully and follow the points in Step 1. More information can be found in our FAQ section below

For us to provide a repair quote, please email us the following;High-quality photos of the damaged part, close-up photos of the damage and pictures of the whole part. It is best to take as many pictures as possible from different angles. Once you have taken all of your photos, you can then email them to us at sales@reverie.ltd.uk (we can also use WeTransfer for large photo file sizes). Details of the damage, such as size, location on the part, and extent (is it just chipped clear coat or is it cracked with areas missing?) Information about the part (make/model/year e.t.c.)

Typically, we can provide an price and lead time estimate from your photos however for more complicated repairs we would need to physically inspect the part at our site before confirming a price. If required, we can provide a formal quotation document (to submit to an insurance company, for example)

If you wish you go ahead, you will either need to send us your part or drop it off at our site. For vehicle parts, we require the part to be removed from the vehicle and preferably to be stripped down as much as possible (e.g. removal of sensors, grilles, badges e.t.c). We require bicycles to be stripped to the frame. When packing, it is advisable to use strong packing material and bubble wrap to prevent any further damage

We will perform an initial inspection of the incoming part to confirm the extent of the damage (if not already done so). If further damage is found or there is a complication that would results in additional cost then we will advise you before undertaking any work to obtain your approval to continue. After the initial inspection, the repair work will be planned in with one of our repair technicians. The way the part is actually repaired can vary widely, for example, if it is a simple patch repair on a bicycle or reskinning an entire diffuser. We will keep you updated on the repair is progressing. Once the repair is complete, the part will pass through QC inspection and will be photographed

We will contact you once the repair is complete and either ship the part to you or you can come and collect the part from us.

Carbon Repair FAQ

Below find answers to our most common question we're asked about repairing Lamborghini Carbon Fibre parts;

TThis entirely depends on the part. Typically, high-end vehicles such as Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini, repairing would almost certainly be more affordable than obtaining a new replacement. Other vehicles, such as BMW, have a large aftermarket of Carbon Fibre parts, and in that case, it may be better to buy a new or good used replacement part. In any case, we can provide you with a quote so you can decide whether a repair is financially viable.

We strive to repair the part to as-new condition as possible, but it depends on the extent of the damage. If a part is cracked in several places, then there may be small repair witness marks or lines that are visible where the Carbon fabric has been stitched together. Most of the time, these are barely noticeable and we try to minimise as much as possible, but it is important to understand that a heavily damaged part may end up with repair witness marks. Once you have sent us photos, we will run through with you what the repair would involve and whether there would be any areas that would be problematic. If you want perfection, then you would have to buy a new replacement from the OEM, bearing in mind that this may be several times the price of a repair.

Possibly yes, it depends on the severity of the damage and whether we can form the shape. If large sections are missing, then this likely cannot be repaired as it would require mould tooling. We can determine whether the repair would be feasible from photos.

Yes, some manufacturers use special Carbon weaves, some of which we stock. If we need to order in material, then we would advise on the price and lead time of this.

We can’t repair car roofs as we do not have a drive-in spray booth that is required for clear coating. We’d recommend enquiring with a local car body shop or wrapping the roof to conceal the damage.

Cosmetic and small chips only can be repaired; we cannot repair if the wheel is cracked.

Yes, absolutely, please call or email first before setting off to agree on a time. In many cases, we need to physically inspect the part here to confirm the price and lead time.

We need to see photos of the damage first before giving a price estimate. The quickest way to receive an estimate is to follow Step 1 of our 5-step repair process.

Due to space constraints, we cannot store vehicles at our premises. Also, due to the time required to repair Carbon Fibre, we cannot offer a repair-while-you-wait service.

Although we can disassemble such parts, it would increase the labour cost of the repair. We prefer not to store any other parts, so we request that the part be delivered or dropped off to us in bare form (such as removal of fog lights, brake lights, trims, cables, fixings, etc).

You are welcome to drop off the part yourself, and we would encourage this if you live locally to Colchester. For small parts, you can use a regular courier; for larger items (such as bumpers) you would need to use a specialist courier. In either case, ensure that the part is well packaged to prevent any further damage.
