About ReVerie Ltd

ReVerie Ltd was founded in May 2000 by ex-Lotus employee Simon Farren (who was responsible, whilst at Lotus on the vehicle management team, for putting the Lotus 340R vehicle into production). Simon conceived ReVerie with the intention of designing niche automotive track day and performance enhancing products using Autoclaved carbon composites. There would also due to his passion, interest and his perceived gap in the market be a large focus on aftermarket Lotus accessories, inspired mainly by the lightweight Elise and its customers understanding of the benefits of lightweight high strength materials and technology.

At the conception of the business in 2000, no other composites business was targeting the aftermarket Motorsport/sports car markets with well designed and tested products at affordable prices. The companies with these abilities and facilities were focussing solely on OEM, F1, WRC and Sports Prototype supply and often just as sub-contracting houses. Simon’s original plan was to sub contract the actual manufacture of ReVerie designed parts however a company could not be found that would deliver parts to the required quality at the right cost and within the desired timescale. Therefore, Simon began making Carbon Fibre parts himself, whilst also seeking premises and equipment to set up a production facility. A facility was eventually found along with the necessary equipment required in October 2001.

After moving into the new facility, between 2003 and 2005, ReVerie was involved in winning (at the time) one of the largest Motorsport composite projects for Foggy PETRONAS Racing which involved the manufacture of 150 full Carbon panel sets (inc. structural seat unit) for the road homologation special to allow the FP1 bike to meet the requirements of the FIM. In this period, ReVerie employed 20 full-time staff and six F1 contractors. All delivery times and quality targets were met.

During this period also, ReVerie expanded its product line to encompass steering wheels, bucket seats, air boxes and induction kits. ReVerie Carbon steering wheels proved so popular that they were chosen by the Citroen Rally Team for use in their Xsara World Rally car that competed with enormous success in the WRC.

In 2010, ReVerie moved to a larger facility in Colchester, Essex and invested in new equipment and later achieved ISO9001 certification. Our investment led as to winning a contract to supply McLaren Carbon Fibre OEM key fob inserts as used on the McLaren MP4/12 P1. The contract required exacting standards which we achieved- in total, we delivered approximately 24,000 units! Since then, ReVerie has grown its own product range and expanded its dealer network across the globe. ReVerie as also significantly expanded its manufacturing capability and has worked with numerous clients such as Cosworth Electronics, Citroen WRC, McLaren and Vislink Ltd covering a wide array of areas from automotive to defence to luxury furniture. ReVerie gained ISO9001 certification in 2015 and our Quality Management System (QMS) has allowed us to grow and improve our service as well as give peace of mind to our clients.
