Our Zolder back plates are for use with our Zolder air boxes. Back plates that fit the Zolder 65X also fit Fontana plenums. We manufacture a variety of different back plates including flat back plates or back plates that are raised by 30, 60 or 90mm - increasing the volume for the air box. For the Zolder 150D, 112D, 112X and 122 Macau, two special Carbon Fibre back plates are available, one with twin straight outlets and one with twin 45deg angled outlets.
Flat back plates are available in Alloy in addition to Carbon Fibre and GRP whilst raised back plates are availble in Carbon Fibre or GRP only.
30mm back plates can be reversed to fit into the air box to allow for reduced air box depth (see image, left) which may be required if fitting in restricted engine bays. On some setups, this would be required if the air box fowls fuel rails/injectors. An example of this can be found on our Morgan Omex Throttle body induction kit. Where this is used, an external remote filter is required and you will likely need to use short ram pipes/trumpets to allow 25mm minimum clearance - 40mm ideally.
Spacers for JC50 (4 cylinder) and JC100 (6 cylinder) back plates are also available in 5/10/15mm allowing the back plate to be spaced away from the air box for even more volume. The spacers can be used with back plates either way around to provide ultimate flexibility. Spacer kits are manufactured from black Nylon and are supplied with required fixings, gasket and clamp bracket allowing fitment to exiting JC50 Zolder air boxes. Spacer kits can be purchased here.
